REMI Realty LLC
Standardized Operating Procedures for Prospective Homebuyers
Effective Date: August 2, 2026
Pursuant to New York Real Property Law § 442-H, REMI Realty LLC has adopted the following Standardized Operating Procedures regarding services provided to prospective homebuyers. These procedures describe REMI Realty LLC’s general business practices and may vary depending on the specific circumstances of a transaction or as otherwise required by law.
1. Identification
Prospective homebuyers are not required to provide identification prior to receiving real estate services or discussing their real estate needs. However, REMI Realty LLC reserves the right to request identification in certain circumstances where it is deemed appropriate for the safety and security of all parties involved.
2. Buyer Representation Agreement
Prospective homebuyers are welcome to contact REMI Realty LLC to discuss their real estate goals, ask questions, and participate in an initial consultation without signing a Buyer Representation Agreement. A written Buyer Representation Agreement is required before touring residential real property when required by applicable law and brokerage policy. Public open houses may be subject to different requirements.
3. Mortgage Pre-Approval / Proof of Funds
Prospective homebuyers are not required to obtain a mortgage pre-approval or provide proof of funds prior to viewing properties. However, individual sellers or listing brokers may require a mortgage pre-approval letter or proof of funds before permitting access to a property. REMI Realty LLC also strongly encourages buyers to obtain a mortgage pre-approval before beginning their home search, as it helps establish a realistic price range and strengthens future purchase offers.
